Controversial Ghanaian journalist, Paul Adom Otchere has taking on the Ghana’s Football Association president and his cohorts in the administration of related football matters in Ghana.

Paul Adom Otchere did not mince words as he gave a damning view on the administrative style being employed by the top hierarchy of football people in Ghana to broadcast football and also make financial gains from the beautiful game.

The experienced journalist first berated the football administrators on how difficult and helpless it was to watch local games in such times of modern digitalization. Paul Adom Otchere intimated all their meetings and deliberations on making football a financial base would prove futile unless they adopt the modern practises of digitization on broadcasting football games.

“The other day Asante Kotoko was playing in Kumasi and there was no way to watch it, I have been telling the GFA people get the digital migration working so in our homes on the decoder we can press star*1267* and watch Asante Kotoko for 5 cedis that’s the only way, and I insist all the meetings they are having is not going anywhere the world has moved from there nobody is going to sponsorship football and your empty stadium, just put it on television let the people pay” the journalist said on his popular Good Evening Ghana show .

In a comparison on how the English Premier League have adopted broadcasting their football and also earning huge financial benefits, the outspoken journalist bemoaned how Manchester United are able to make money seven thousand kilometres away from their Jurisdiction because of the easy access to payment and comfortability to football fans across the globe.

The staunch supporter of Kumasi Asante Kotoko also schooled Kurt Okraku on how to make money from football rather than depending on Sponsorship.

“We watch Manchester united in our home in Ghana, Manchester united is playing seven thousand kilometers away, we are paying and watching, and the money is going to Manchester we cannot watch Accra Hearts of Oak and pay for it in our homes, is that not the problem I don’t under why they are pussy footing about it. The only solution to your football is to pay for it find a way to pay for it on the decoder in our house, that decoder ought to be provided by the NCA  and tell you channel 10 is GFA…if one million people pay 5 Cedis to watch Hearts of Oak one Sunday if Hearts  is earning 5 million on 4 Sundays they could earn 20 million in two years people will play for Hearts of Oak they will not play for Tottenham this the solution to the matter please tell Kurt Okraku I have been sending them text tell them that this is the only solution they have” the journalist further stated.

There have been several deliberations on how to make financial gains from our local football in recent times but all to no avail. The headline sponsors of the Ghana Premier League have recently altered the terms and condition of the contract.
