Ghana international Daniel Agyei was on target as Kocaelispor secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Gaziantep FK in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday.
The 29-year-old attacker came off the bench to make a decisive impact, helping Kocaelispor claim all three points at the Turka Arac Muayene Kocaeli Stadyumu.
Agyei was introduced in the 74th minute, replacing Florian Ayé, as the home side looked to protect their advantage after breaking the deadlock earlier in the second half.
The first half ended goalless, with both sides creating opportunities but failing to find the breakthrough before the interval.
Kocaelispor returned from the break with greater attacking intent and eventually opened the scoring in the 56th minute through Berkan Kutlu.
Agyei then made an immediate impact after his introduction, finding the back of the net in the 76th minute to double Kocaelispor’s advantage and effectively put the result beyond Gaziantep FK.
The Ghanaian finished off a move created by Kutlu, who turned provider after scoring the opening goal to help his side secure a comfortable home victory. The goal capped a lively cameo from Agyei, who continues to fight for a more prominent role in the Kocaelispor setup.
The Black Stars attacker has featured in the opening six matches of the Turkish top-flight campaign, with his strike against Gaziantep being his first goal of the current campaign.
Agyei earned his maiden call-up to the Ghana national team in May 2026 during an international break and has so far made one appearance for the Black Stars.
