Bofoakwa Tano FC long serving captain Saaka Dauda was on target for his team as they beat Ghanaian giant Accra Hearts of Oak SC in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.
The Green and Whites Skipper scored the only goal of the match to make sure the Phobians were beaten at the Coronation park in Sunyani on Saturday afternoon in the week three of the 2023-24 campaign.
Going into the game, the Hunters had won one game and drew one in their first two matches of the season against Accra Great Olympics FC and Real Tamale United FC.
After a goalless first 45 minutes of the match, Saaka Dauda got his name on the score sheet to put the hosts 1-0 up early in the second half with a 47th minute strike.
He found the back of the net for his team when he was put through on goal few minutes after the break with a well placed into the bottom corner of the goal post.
The Phobians who were outplayed on the day could not find an antidote to the problems caused them by the hosts.
Hearts suffered a second straight away defeat already this season in two matches on the road and have one win out of three games this season.
