Ghanaian striker, Inaki Williams, showcased his brilliance for Athletic Club on Thursday night, netting a stunning goal against Atletico Madrid in the Spanish Copa del Rey.
Starting in the second leg of the semi-final clash, the Black Stars forward made an immediate impact at Estadio San Mames. In just 13 minutes, Williams found the back of the net, courtesy of a precise cross from his younger brother, Nico Williams, on the left flank. Positioned adeptly behind the Atletico Madrid defense, Inaki unleashed an unstoppable shot to give Athletic Club the early lead they deserved.
In a display of sibling synergy, Inaki turned provider in the 42nd minute, setting up Nico Williams for another goal, doubling the host’s lead.
With Gorka Guruzeta adding another goal in the second half, Athletic Club secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Atletico Madrid, securing their place in the finals of this season’s Spanish Copa del Rey.
