In a Europa League clash against Royal Union SG, England-born defender of Ghanaian descent, Jarell Quansah, made a significant contribution by scoring a powerful equalizer for Liverpool in a 2-1 defeat on Thursday night.
Despite already securing qualification, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp opted to rotate the starting lineup, offering opportunities to fringe players like Jarell Quansah.
The young defender, positioned at right-back, impressed with a standout performance, notably finding the net with a thumping effort in the 40th minute.
Before Quansah’s goal, Royal Union SG had taken the lead with Mohamed Amoura’s equalizer in the 32nd minute.
However, Cameron Puertas secured the win for the Belgian side with a second goal, resulting in a 2-1 victory over Liverpool in the final Group E match of the Europa League.
