Vision FC Technical Director, Annor Walker, has clarified that his intense pre-game remarks about “slitting the throat” of Hearts of Oak within the first 25 minutes of their clash were purely promotional and not intended as a sign of disrespect.
Speaking ahead of the Ghana Premier League Matchweek 27 encounter at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, Walker confidently declared that Vision FC, nicknamed the ‘Ewooo Boys,’ would dominate Hearts early in the match. However, that prediction didn’t fully come to pass as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
In an interview with Asempa FM after the match, Walker offered an explanation for his comments.
“Hearts is a big club, I have a lot of respect for them,” he said. “My pre-match comments were for promotional purposes, not meant to disrespect them.”
The match itself was a tense affair, with both teams sharing the spoils in what turned out to be a tightly contested battle.
