West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC sinked Elmina Sharks FC on the league table with a hard earned 2-0 win in Sogakope.

The Academy Boys picked their third win in 11 games of the season to move out of the relegation zone after beating the Green and Whites team.

Striker Justus Torsutsey scored from the spot on the stroke of half time whistle after Elmina Sharks defender was punished for handling the ball inside the box.

Six minutes from the break, Sampson Agyapong doubled the Red and Blacks lead with a fine goal to make it 2-0.

WAFA won the game and kept a clean sheet as Elmina Sharks remain in the bottom of the league table after 11 matches with just seven.
