Black Starlets beat the Sparrow Hawks 3-0 to book a place in the semi-final of the ongoing West African Football Union (WAFU) zone B tournament in Ghana.

The Starlets needed a point to book a place in the next stage of the competition as they played their counterparts who were in search of a win.

Both teams didn’t play well in the first half of the match as they both failed to create good chances.

Pius Adua scored the first goal of the match after connecting a cross from  winger Andrews Appiah.

Razak Salifu struck from outside the penalty box into the net to give Ghana a 2-0 lead in the entertaining second half goal.

Captain Collins Agyemang’s cross was handled by a Togo defender and elected himself to take the kick and scored to make it 3-0.

Ghana are through to the semi-final and are likely to come up against Burkina Faso in the semi-final.
