Ghana Football Association Technical Director Bernhard Lippert believes the Black Stars of Ghana are almost at the same level as the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Many rated star-studded Nigeria as favorites to qualify for the FIFA World Cup finals but Lippert believes there is no much gap between the two West African football giants following the 0-0 outcome from the first leg last Friday.
The second leg takes place on Tuesday in Abuja but one person who was in awe with the performance of the Ghana team is Lippert.
“We knew before the game that it was a 50-50 playoff match. The venue does not mean anything and I think we are almost at the same level” Bernard Lippert told Akoma FM.
“I saw a positive game from the team. It was one of the best games in the last year” Lippert said.
“There was lot of passion but we could not score. But this gives us a lot of hope that we can beat Nigeria on Tuesday and qualify” Lippert sounded positive.
“I think if we show the same passion as we did on Friday I am very confident that we can qualify” he concluded.
