Asante Kotoko’s hope to extend their lead on the 2021/22 league standings was given a jolt for the second time by Legon Cities FC.
The Porcupine Warriors were beaten 3-1 by the Royals in week 26 at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday after suffering a 2-1 loss against RTU the week prior in Tamale.
Hans Kwoffie’s brace plus Michel Otou’s 17th minute penalty, left Kotoko with Salifu Mudasiru’s consolation to take home.
The Porcupine Warriors took to social media to express their displeasure.

It was payback time for Maxwell Konadu who was dismissed by the Nana Yaw Amponsah led management.
Legon Cities equally lost 2-1 to Asante Kotoko in the first round at the El Wak Sports Stadium last year.
