Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has acknowledged that his team faces a real threat of relegation following their defeat to Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians hosted Aduana Stars on Sunday for Round 30 of the league campaign, but they suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss.
In an interview with StarTimes after the game, coach Ouattara did not hold back his criticism of the players and admitted the precarious position his team is now in.
“These boys, I can’t understand them. Today you are good and tomorrow you are bad. I don’t understand what happened. Today it’s a very bad game. I’m not happy,” he said.
He continued, “The players, they disappointed me today. I can’t say which player played well today. I can’t accept all this.”
“We are in danger now. We need more points to escape [relegation],” Coach Ouattara added.
Looking ahead, Coach Ouattara and his team will travel to Kumasi next weekend to face Asante Kotoko in the second Super Clash of the league season.
