Heart of Lions head coach, Bashir Hayford, has expressed confidence in his team’s direction following their unbeaten start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

Hayford made these remarks after his side secured a 2-2 draw against Dreams FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.

The Kpando-based club opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, followed by an impressive 2-0 home victory over Hearts of Oak. Their strong start continued with Monday’s draw against Dreams FC, keeping their unbeaten run intact.

Speaking to the media after the match, Hayford praised his squad’s performances, emphasizing that they are on the right path and must build on their momentum.

“We have played three matches and have not lost, so we are on a good track. I think it’s okay, and we have to capitalize on this and move forward. It means we have to make sure we maintain our undefeated status for some time,” he stated.

He also highlighted the importance of securing points in away games, adding, “As for away games, if you get a draw, it’s perfect because there are so many dynamics. I think it’s good for me.”

Heart of Lions will look to extend their unbeaten run when they host Bibiani Gold Stars at the Kpando Sports Stadium in their next fixture.
