West Ham United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka has expressed his surprise at Mohammed Kudus’ impressive strength on the ball, admitting it’s difficult to play against the Ghanaian midfielder.
Wan-Bissaka, who joined West Ham in the summer transfer window from Manchester United, praised his new teammate, emphasizing how tough Kudus is to handle in training. “Definitely Kudus and Bowen,” Wan-Bissaka said when asked about the toughest players at West Ham.
He continued, “With Kudus, I knew he was strong, but I didn’t realize just how strong. You literally can’t take the ball off him. I’m so happy to be on the same team with him. It’s great to see and play with him.”
Kudus, who joined West Ham from Ajax during the same summer window, is yet to register a goal or assist in the Premier League. West Ham has had a challenging start to the season, recently suffering their third loss in a match against Chelsea.
Despite his slow start in the league, Kudus made a key contribution in the EFL Cup, providing the assist for the winning goal against Bournemouth in the second round. West Ham is set to face Liverpool in the next round on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
