As Nations FC gears up to face Asante Kotoko in a crucial clash on Sunday, forward Richard Danso has expressed confidence in his team’s readiness for the challenge.

Set to play at the Baba Yara Stadium for matchday 23 of the Ghana Premier League campaign, Nations FC, based in Abrankese, aims to continue their impressive debut season form against the Porcupine Warriors.

Currently occupying the second spot on the league standings with 37 points, Nations FC has been a revelation in their maiden Premier League campaign, trailing just two points behind log leaders Samartex.

Danso, a former WAFA attacker, emphasized the importance of securing a positive result against Kotoko, either by winning or drawing.

Reflecting on their previous encounter, which ended in a 2-2 draw at home, Danso expressed optimism about their chances at the Baba Yara Stadium. He highlighted the team’s mental and physical readiness for the game, emphasizing their determination to secure at least a point.

“We played out a 2-2 draw with Kotoko on home turf in the first leg but it could be that we can go to Baba Yara and beat them. We are mentally and physically ready for the game on Sunday. we will go and pick a point over there, defeat is out of the context”

Danso also urged the fans to rally behind the team ahead of this crucial fixture, recognizing the significance of their support in boosting morale and motivation.

“I will entreat our fans to rally behind us ahead of this crucial game” he said

With both teams eager for maximum points, the upcoming match promises to be a thrilling encounter as Kotoko aims for redemption while Nations FC seeks to continue their impressive run in the league.
