Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Antwi has expressed confidence in his team’s readiness to secure all three points in their Ghana Premier League opener against Karela United.
The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season kicks off this weekend, featuring a lineup of exciting fixtures across the country. The Porcupine Warriors will travel to the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex on Sunday to face Karela United in what promises to be a competitive encounter.
Speaking ahead of the match, Antwi, a former Great Olympics midfielder, emphasized the positive atmosphere within the Kotoko camp and their determination to start the season with a victory.
“The mood in camp is very positive. I can assure our fans that we are ready to grab the three points on Sunday against Karela United, and that’s what we are looking forward to,” Antwi told the club’s media. “We have quality players, and everyone is eager to play. Everyone is prepared to put up their best performance to secure maximum points and make our fans and coaches proud.”
Kotoko, aiming for a stronger showing this season after finishing sixth last term, underwent a significant overhaul during the offseason. The club released over 20 players and brought in 13 new faces, including Antwi, to bolster their squad for the campaign ahead.
