Medeama SC coach Augustine Evans Adotey is closely monitoring the upcoming CAF Champions League group stage.
The group phase of this prestigious CAF competition is set to kick off later this month, and clubs are gearing up to make their mark.
Medeama SC has been drawn into Group D, where they will face Egyptian giants Al Ahly, Algerian champions CR Belouizdad, and Young Africans of Tanzania.
Following his team’s 3-1 defeat to Hearts of Oak, Evans Adotey revealed that they are using the ongoing Ghana Premier League matches as a preparation phase for the upcoming CAF Champions League group stage matches.
He stated, “Let me share a secret with you; we are using the current Ghana Premier League matches to prepare for the CAF Champions League group stage. We have less than six weeks before we kick off our African campaign, so these GPL games are serving as a pre-competition.”
Medeama will start their CAF Champions League group stage journey with a match against Al Ahly in Cairo, Egypt, on November 25, 2023.
