Ghana’s deputy captain Richard Ofori has asked Ghanaians to support the senior national team ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.
His comments comes following a shambolic performances by the Ghana senior national team in recent Pre-World Cup friendly matches.
Ghana lost 3-0 on Friday evening in France against Brazil at the Stade Oceane in Le Havre and produced a disaster-class against the Selacao.
The team followed that up with a horrible play against a Non-Football nation, Nicaragua on Tuesday evening in Spain.
“We won 1-0 and the positive thing about this game is that we created a lot of chances. We beg Ghanaians to have faith in this team and support us,” he told Peace FM.
Ofori played throttle in goal for Ghana but was virtually on a holiday as he was barely tested in goal by the opponents.
