Ghana international Mathew Anim Cudjoe says Dundee United’s win over Falkirk Football Club on Tuesday night was one they deserved.
Dundee beat Falkirk away from home in their third group game of the Scottish League Cup to go top of Group B.
Kai Fotheringham scored the only goal of the game in the fixture with Anim Cudjoe, who played 64 minutes, going on to pick the Player of the Match award.
Speaking in his interview after the game, the Ghanaian told viaplay: “I am very happy the team won because we have been working hard [during] the pre-season and we have been putting in the efforts in training every time.”
“We deserved the win [today].
The 19-year-old also added that together with his teammates, they are working hard to ensure they do better than they did during the 2022/23 season.
“As players, we understand because football has its ups and downs,” he added.
“We are working well in pre-season and everyone is happy. In football, you win sometimes and lose sometimes [as well].”
