Nations FC head coach Kassim Mingle says they don’t fear Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC as the two teams prepare to face each other this weekend.
Speaking on Akoma 87.9 FM, the experienced coach shared his thoughts as his team prepares to face the Porcupine Warriors.
Kotoko will return to play at the Baba Yara Stadium after a defeat to Accra Lions. But for Kasim Mingle, that result doesn’t change anything. “Kotoko are our senior brothers, and here in Abrankese is their home too, so it will be a difficult game,” he admitted. “But we want to build on our current form and results. It will not be easy, but the better side will win.”
The coach, however, remained confident in his squad. He reminded fans that in the first leg, his team came out on top. “Albert Amoah and others all played in the first leg, and we won,” he said. “They are players, and we have comparable players here too. So we don’t fear any player at Kotoko.”
While Kasim Mingle admitted that Kotoko have more mature and experienced players, he still believes his side can match them. “It is football,” he added. “And as I always say, the better side will win.”
