Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey has discussed Arsenal’s Premier League title aspirations following their triumph over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Partey played a pivotal role in Arsenal’s victory, controlling the midfield as they secured a 3-2 win in the North London derby in week 35.
Despite being on top of the Premier League table with 80 points, just one point behind second-placed Manchester City with a game in hand, Partey emphasized the team’s determination to continue fighting until the end of the season, as he shared on Instagram.
Arsenal took an early lead through a Pierre-Emile Højbjerg own goal in the 15th minute, followed by goals from Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz in the 27th and 38th minutes, respectively, to secure a three-goal advantage going into halftime.
Although Tottenham managed to narrow the deficit with goals from Cristian Romero and Heung-Min Son in the second half, Arsenal held on for the crucial victory.
Partey’s contributions have been limited this season due to injuries, with the midfielder making only 11 Premier League appearances.
