Dutch-born defender, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, has expressed excitement following his team Bayer 04 Leverkusen‘s qualification to play in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
The former Manchester United defender helped Leverkusen to finish third on the German Bundesliga standings with 64 points, five adrift of Dortmund who finished second to Champions Bayern Munich.
According to Fosu-Mensah, the team achieved its ultimate goal of qualifying to play in the UEFA Champions League.
“Thank you for the support this season.. we manage to reach our goal which is the @championsleague. See u guys next season,” Fosu-Mensah posted on Instagram.
