Nora Hauptle, the head coach of Ghana’s women’s national football team, the Black Queens, is eyeing a triumphant performance against Zambia on Friday, February 22, to set the stage for a joyous football celebration in Ghana.
Hauptle will lead the Black Queens in the first leg of their Olympic Games qualifiers tie against Zambia, with the hope of securing a crucial victory en route to Paris, France, for the 2024 Olympic Games.
Addressing journalists ahead of the match, Coach Nora Hauptle urged Ghanaians to rally behind the team and turn out in numbers to support them at the Accra Sports Stadium.
“We need the support, we need togetherness, everybody here in Ghana, the spectators, footballers, coaches. Let’s come together and let’s have a big football party tomorrow,” Coach Nora Hauptle emphasized.
The Black Queens enter the game on an impressive streak of 11 matches without defeat, having won 10 consecutive matches and securing a draw in their most recent outing.
The highly anticipated clash between Ghana and Zambia is scheduled to kick off at 5 pm at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday.
