SuperSport United defender Siyanda Xulu has shared his thoughts on South Africa’s
journey in the AFCON 2023. The 32-year-old centre-back in a pre-match conference ahead of DR Congo’s clash revealed South Africa’s dream in the AFCON.
“We wanted to take it home, it was a dream for us”, said Xulu.
“But we’re happy with the progress as a team over the past two years where we’ve come from”. South Africa has seen a massive rise in the Bafana Bafana for the last year under Hugo Broos.
“We never thought we’d be in this position,” the former Mamelodi Sundowns defender, Xiyanda Xulu, expressed his shock in South Africa reaching the semi-finals.
Bafana Bafana will face the Leopards of DR Congo in the 3rd/4th match on Saturday evening in the 2023 AFCON.
