Budding Ghanaian forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has assured Ghanaians of bringing the covetous Africa Cup of Nations trophy home at the end of the tournament.
The Black Stars have not won the trophy since 1982 when they lifted their fourth trophy.
Ahead of the tournament, the Dreams FC wing wizard is confident Ghana can end the 40 year wait for the AFCON trophy which has eluded them since Libya 1982 tourney.
Speaking in an interview from the team’s camping base, Fatawu Issahaku is upbeat about Ghana’s chances of lifting the cup at the end of the tournament.

“What Ghanaians should expect form me is just the cup… because every player if you are going for a tournament, your main target is the trophy,” the Dreams FC attacker told the Ghana Football App.
“So I think, thats what I have for Ghanaians, they should expect the come from us,” he concluded.
Ghana will kick start their campaign against Morocco on January 10 before taking on Pierre Emerick Aubameyang’s Gabon and Comoros in their last group game.
