We’re trying to play well, and anything can happen – Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara

Hearts of Oak’s coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, is being careful about their chances of winning the Ghana Premier League in 2023/24, even though the team has been playing really well lately. The Phobians didn’t start the season strong, but things have turned around for them.

Ever since Ouattara joined the club at the beginning of the second round, Hearts of Oak’s performance has gotten a lot better. In their last five games, they’ve won three and drawn two, which is impressive.

They’ve collected 11 points out of a possible 15 in the second half of the season. This has helped them move up in the league standings, and now they’re in 7th place, tied with their rivals Asante Kotoko.

Despite the improvement in their performance and their position in the league, Coach Ouattara isn’t making any big promises about winning the title.

“We’re trying to play well, and anything can happen, but I can’t guarantee we’ll win the cup. We’re taking it one step at a time, one match at a time,” Ouattara said.

Now, Hearts of Oak is ahead of Asante Kotoko on the Ghana Premier League table. They’re in 7th place, just like Kotoko, but they have the same number of points.
