Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, is full of confidence as his side prepares for the highly anticipated Ghana Premier League “Super Clash” against Asante Kotoko on Sunday, December 15, at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Ouattara, who has praised his team’s performances this season, remains upbeat about their chances in the week 13 encounter. He believes that the Phobians are ready to take on Kotoko despite the tough challenges ahead.
“Every time we are motivated, and this season we’ve already played some difficult matches before facing Kotoko,” Ouattara said. “We’ve managed to get points at tough venues, so we’re prepared.”
He added, “For the players and for me personally, the focus is on playing well, first and foremost. We aim to either secure the three points or at least bring home one point. And as of now, we are ahead of them in the standings.”
While Kotoko has emerged victorious in their last three meetings with Hearts of Oak, Ouattara remains undeterred. Hearts of Oak are currently 6th in the league table with 19 points, just one point ahead of Kotoko. The Phobians have won three of their last four matches and will be eager to continue their good form against their archrivals.
