Ghana’s Black Queens head coach Nora Häuptle is pleased with her team’s performance against Guinea in the first leg of the Paris 2024 Olympic first-round qualifiers on Friday evening.
Ghana beat their neighbours from West Africa 3-0 away from home in Conakry ahead of the return leg in a week’s time in Ghana, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
According to her, the team has had a very good start to the qualifiers for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris after a comprehensive victory on the road.
“I think we’ve had a good start in the Olympic qualifiers. We won this game 3-0. We had a stable start and I think in the end the score should have been much higher.
“In the end, I’m very satisfied. We are looking forward to traveling home to mother Ghana and of course, having the second game,” Coach Nora Hauptle said.
She will be hoping for more of the same performance when they take on their opponents in Ghana for the second leg to sail through to the next stage with ease.
