Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has urged his players to prioritize teamwork as they continue their recent resurgence in the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians endured a difficult start to the season, losing their first two matches against Basake Holy Stars and Heart of Lions. They secured their first victory of the campaign on Matchday 3 against Bechem United but struggled to maintain momentum, winning only one of their next five games.
However, Hearts of Oak have turned their season around in recent weeks with an impressive run of three consecutive wins. This resurgence has propelled them to fourth place on the league table, just four points behind leaders Nations FC.
Ahead of their upcoming match against Nsoatreman at the University of Ghana Stadium on Saturday evening, Ouattara emphasized the importance of unity and hard work within the squad.
“The talent is there, but we are working on teamwork,” Ouattara said. “Hard work and teamwork are the keys to growing the team. It’s not easy, but we’re doing our best. The individuals are talented, and now we’re building the team slowly.”
With their sights set on extending their winning streak to four matches, Hearts of Oak are also gearing up for their highly anticipated showdown with rivals Asante Kotoko in the weeks to come.
