“What they want is what we have brought to their doorsteps” – Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum confident new signings meet fans’ expectations

Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Ogum has expressed confidence that the club’s recent signings during the ongoing transfer window align perfectly with the expectations of the supporters.

The Porcupine Warriors have been proactive in the transfer market, bringing in several new players after releasing around 18 squad members following a disappointing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season. As the team gears up for the 2024/25 campaign, there is a strong focus on improving their performance and satisfying the club’s passionate fan base.

In their first preseason friendly, Kotoko showcased their potential with a dominant 8-0 victory against Arthur Football Academy at Adako Jachie. The goals came from Albert Amoah, who netted twice, as well as Peter Amidu, Saaka Dauda, Baba Yahaya, Bernard Somuah, Kareem, and Victor Asamoah.

“It is an indication that what they want is what we have brought to their doorsteps,” Ogum told the club’s media. “If you look at some of the individual players, they are players that I think the supporters themselves had in mind. They were thinking, hoping, and praying that the coach would identify them,” he added.

Asante Kotoko fans will be hoping that the new additions can help propel the team to greater heights in the upcoming season.
