Ghana manager Otto Addo, says he’s unfazed about the constant criticism channeled to him by Ghanaians and football loving fans following the Black Stars World Cup squad announcement.
Addo named his final 26-man squad for the global showpiece which will be staged in Qatar later this month.
The list, announced on Monday 14th November, 2022 in Accra, has seen the manager attacked by many Ghanaians who believe players like Jeffery Schlupp and Joseph Paintsil should have made the cut for the World’s biggest football competition.
However, reacting to Joy Sports’ after the squad announcement on whether he’s really worried about the massive bashing he has received recently, Addo said he wasn’t perturbed at all.
“I am not bothered at all, I think whatever People say about me is their own business. The most important thing is that we are focused on building a good team,”
Meanwhile, the former Ghana international, failed to speak on why he dropped Crystal Palace star Jeffery Schlupp and Genk In-form attacker Joseph Paintsil.
Ghana face Switzerland in a friendly in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, and begin their Group H campaign against Portugal on 24 November.
The Black Stars are housed in Group H alongside Portugal Uruguay and South Korea.
