Former Ghanaian defender, Daniel Quaye has jabbed the Hearts of Oak hierarchy for sending players before the start of the 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League before the appointment of a coach.
Hearts of Oak before the appointment of Martin Koopman on August 18, 2023, had already signed 10 players for their 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League season.
The club is currently struggling in the Ghana Premier League and according to Dan Quaye the decision to be signing players without coaches is negatively affecting the performance of the team.
“Who signs players without a coach? Where will this happen in the world if not Hearts of Oak. Elsewhere even when they are signing players without coach, they have scouts who have monitored players for a long time but at Hearts of Oak the Board with their selfish interests do all these transfers without a technical person,” he said on Rainbow Radio.
“They do things anyhow in the club and when the experience players talk, they force them out. We all know why Awako was sacked from the club. He was sacked because if the things are not going on well and he speaks, then there is a problem.”
“There is no proper leadership in the club. The same thing happened to Sulley Muntari because they will not accept any contributions he brought on board considering his experience in the game,” Dan Quaye added.
