Wilfred Osei Kwaku ‘Palmer’ slams Kurt Okraku’s leadership, rates GFA administration 3/10

Veteran Ghanaian football administrator Wilfred Osei Kwaku ‘Palmer’ has once again criticized Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku, stating that he has failed in his leadership role.

Speaking to Akoma FM, Palmer argued that Okraku’s tenure has not met expectations, claiming that his sole focus was on becoming FA President rather than improving Ghanaian football.

“Kurt has failed to meet expectations because he was only focused on becoming FA President. I will rate the Kurt Administration 3 out of 10,” Palmer stated.

He went further to accuse Okraku of greed, attributing Ghana’s football decline to his leadership style. “Kurt is greedy, and that is why football in Ghana is no longer appealing. I wish to turn Tema Youth into an academy,” he added.

Okraku, now in his second term, has faced growing criticism from football administrators and fans, especially following Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Calls for his resignation have intensified in recent months, with many blaming his administration for the national team’s struggles.

Despite the backlash, the GFA leadership maintains its commitment to developing Ghanaian football and addressing the concerns raised by stakeholders.
