Accra Hearts of Oak youngster Yaw Amankwah Baafi is gradually proving his worth and dominating the headlines as he has become the talking point in the Ghana Premier league due to his great display of good talent and versatility.
The young player joined the Phobians in the second transfer window of last season and helped Hearts to win the President Cup and the MTN FA Cup for the 2021/2022 season.
He has without doubt improved immensely and become a versatile player for the team.
He has therefore become an integral member of the team. His dazzling skill and footwork has deservedly earned him a regular place in the team making him the toast of fans. It’s been an incredible season for him so far.
When asked about his versatility, Baafi attributed it to the good guidance he has received from the technical team particularly Coach Ocloo.
“I will attribute my current performance to the coaches. I listen with rapt attention any instructions they give out. One of the prominent instructions is to be mobile upfront at all times. So I try to do just that to give the team and the coach the desired results.“ he said.
Speaking on the victory over Nsoatreman, Baafi expressed total joy and mentioned that they are taking it step by step. He also mentioned that playing in any other position is his way of contributing to the team’s success.”
“It is a good win for us because we are targeting the ultimate but the focus is to take it game after game. I like playing upfront but if am asked to contribute by playing at other positions, I have to do that if that is what will bring success to this team. I have no option than to play to the instructions of the coaches”.
