WPL Week 13 Preview: Ampem Darkoa Ladies travel to Ashtown Ladies, Prisons Ladies battle Supreme Ladies in Northern Zone

Defending Champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies will be on the road to play Ashtown Ladies.

The League leaders defeated title contenders Northern Ladies in the top of the table clash and will look to grab the maximum points to extend their lead in the Northern Zone. Dreamz Ladies and Kumasi sports Academy will battle it out in a regional derby at the Bantama Astro Turf in Kumasi.

ASHTOWN LADIES VRS AMPEM DARKOA LADIES Defending Champions, Ampem Darkoa ladies will travel to Kumasi to play Ashtown Ladies at the Bantama Astro turf. The host go into this fixture haven shared points with Supreme Ladies whilst their visitors picked up all three points against Northern ladies to extend their lead at the top. A win for the host will be vital as they need the maximum points for survival at this crucial stage of the season. With the season drawing nigh, the defending champions will avoid dropping points to defend their title.

DREAMZ LADIES VRS KUMASI SPORTS ACADEMY Dreamz ladies will be at home to Kumasi Sports Academy in a regional derby at the Bantama Astro Turf. The host have been consistent in their last three games and will prove a tough opponent for Kumasi sports Academy. ‘Kusa’ as they are affectionately called are yet to turn the second round of the season around for good as they’ve been struggling to find their rhythm. With the bragging rights at stake, this fixture is set to be an exciting one as both teams will go into the game hoping to get the maximum points at stake.

PRISONS LADIES VRS SUPREME LADIES Prisons Ladies will welcome Supreme Ladies to the Sunyani Coronation Park this Saturday. Prisons, had a poor start to the season, but are gradually finding their rhythm in the second round of the league. The service team won their last home game against Ashtown Ladies and would look to build on their impressive form. Supreme Ladies will be a tough opponent for the host as they lie 3rd on the table with 17 points.

FOSU ROYAL LADIES VRS TAMALE SUPER LADIES

Fosu Royal Ladies will play host to Tamale Super Ladies at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman. Debutants, Fosu Royal Ladies have struggled for form in recent matches, having lost their last away game against Pearlpia Ladies. The host are currently 8th in the table and have to avoid another defeat to drop further down the table. Tamale Super Ladies, have had their share of poor results lately as they lost to Dreamz Ladies. Tamale Super Ladies are 6th on the League table with 16 points.

NORTHERN LADIES VRS PEARLPIA LADIES Relegation threatened Pearlpia Ladies will rival Northern Ladies at the Nobisco School Park in an epic matchday 13 encounter. Pearlpia Ladies are struggling to win matches after winning only twice in the ongoing campaign as they sit at the bottom of the table whilst their host are second on the table and eyeing the title. Pearlpia Ladies will look to avoid defeat against Northern Ladies in the upcoming local derby to move out of the relegation zone. Local derbies are difficult to predict but if history is anything to go by, Pearlpia Ladies stand the chance to win the game after winning the first round encounter 2:1.
