Former Ashantigold forward Yaw Annor put in a stellar performance for National Bank in their draw against his former club, Ismaily SC, in the Egyptian Premier League.
The 26-year-old Togo international of Ghanaian descent played the full match as National Bank shared the points with Ismaily in their Week 25 encounter on Sunday.
Osama Faisal gave the hosts the lead at Cairo International Stadium just before halftime.
In the second half, Annor, the former Ghana Premier League top scorer, extended National Bank’s lead in the 75th minute.
However, National Bank squandered their two-goal advantage as Ismaily mounted a comeback. Eric Traore scored for Ismaily in the 80th minute, and Omar El Saaiy equalized in injury time, resulting in a 2-2 draw.
Annor joined National Bank from Ismaily during the January transfer window on a three-year contract. Since his arrival, he has been impressive, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 22 matches across all competitions.
