Rising Ghanaian star Tarique George was on the scoresheet as Chelsea secured a commanding 3-0 away win over Legia Warszawa in the first leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League quarter-finals in Poland.
The 18-year-old forward delivered a composed performance, capping it off with a well-taken goal that further highlighted his potential and growing influence at the club. George’s goal was Chelsea’s first of the night, before two strikes from Noni Madueke.
Chelsea started strongly, with Tyrique opening the scoring early in the second half of the match. Madueke doubled the lead three minutes later and added the third after 74 minutes.
The result puts the Blues in a strong position ahead of the return leg in London, with three valuable away goals and a clean sheet to build on.
