Ex-Black Stars defender Samuel Inkoom has shared insightful guidance with Dreams FC as they gear up for a decisive encounter against Egyptian powerhouse Zamalek in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Following a commendable goalless draw against Zamalek in the initial leg at Cairo International Stadium, Dreams FC braces to host the former champions for the second leg on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Inkoom, speaking to Maakye Sports, underscored the significance of the upcoming match, urging Ghanaians to rally behind Dreams FC during this crucial moment.
“This is the time Ghanaians have to support Dreams FC,” Inkoom remarked, emphasizing the need for composure and positivity among the team.
He stressed the pivotal role of mindset in confronting a formidable adversary like Zamalek, expressing unwavering belief in Dreams FC’s ability to secure victory with the right attitude.
“They should stay calm, and be positive, and I think they can get the results.”
While acknowledging Zamalek’s strength, Inkoom also instilled hope by stating, “What I can tell them is that Zamalek can be beaten. They can lose but all will depend on the mindset they take to the game.”
The impending match carries immense weight for Dreams FC as they strive to become the first Ghanaian side in two decades to advance to the final of the Confederation Cup. The last instance of such achievement dates back to 2004 when Hearts of Oak triumphed over Kotoko in the final.
Backed by fervent supporters and fueled by Inkoom’s motivational words, Dreams FC aims to etch their name in history as they face Zamalek in the highly anticipated second leg clash on Sunday, April 28.
