Nearly 45 minutes before the kick off of the Cameroon – Comoros match of the round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations at the Olembé stadium on Monday night, a stampede claimed the the lives of nearly 6 spectators outside of the stadium.
Serious incidents indeed took place at the entrance to the Olembe stadium in Yaoundé.
Based on supporting photos and videos, a deadly stampede took place. We are talking about nearly 6 people who died after the tragedy. The victims and many seriously injured were transported to the Messassi hospital center.
“Some spectators who were forcing access to the stadium pushed one of the iron barriers on others. Then people were running in all directions. Some have been stepped on, ”reports a source to Camfoot.com
