Mali defeated Tunisia by 1-0 during the first match of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Group F on Wednesday afternoon.
Norway-based striker Ibrahima Kone scored from the spot in the 48th minute following a hand ball incident against a Tunisian player in the area.
In the 77th minute Tunisia had the opportunity to equalize from the spot too by Mali goalkeeper Mounkouro Ibrahim pulled a great save to deny Wahbi Khazri.

Mauritania and Gambia will lock horns in the other Group F match at 16:00 GMT.
