In the build-up to their crucial final group game against Mozambique in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Black Stars of Ghana received a motivational boost from four of the country’s football legends. The team, facing a challenging AFCON campaign with a 2-1 defeat to Cape Verde and a 2-2 draw against Egypt, is eager to secure their first win.
On Saturday, January 22, Rev. Osei Kofi, James Kuuku Dadzie, Kofi Pare, and Willie Klutse, all AFCON winners for Ghana, made a special visit to the Black Stars’ training ground in BengerVille. Their presence aimed to inspire and motivate the players ahead of the crucial clash against Mozambique.
Situated at the bottom of Group B, Ghana is in a must-win situation to secure advancement to the Round of 16. The game is scheduled to take place at the Alassane Ouattara in Ebimpe, with kick-off set for 20:00 GMT on Monday.
Having been present in Abidjan since the beginning of the tournament, these football legends have been unwavering in their support. They were in the stands during the group games against Cape Verde and Egypt, showcasing their dedication to the Black Stars’ journey in the 2023 AFCON.
