Bosnia and Herzegovina head coach Sergej Barbarez has named his final 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be played in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

The 54-year-old Yugoslavian-born has become the first manager to name his team for the much-anticipated tournament.

The team is led by the former Manchester City and AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko, who, at 40, will be playing in his last tournament. Atalanta left-back Sead Kolasinac is included in the team.  The duo is the only two players who represented the country during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil in South America.

Forwards Kerim Alajbegović of RB Salzburg and Esmir Bajraktarević of PSV Eindhoven are part of the team.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will participate in their second major tournament and will expect to progress to the knockout stage.

The underdogs shocked Wales and Italy in the play-off, winning both fixtures on penalties.

The Dragons in Group B will face co-host Canada, Qatar and Switzerland.

Bosnia’s full squad.
