Ghana’s deputy captain Richard Ofori has been very consistent and impressive since his return from injury for South Africa side Orlando Pirates FC.
The Ghanaian international on his injury return has been one of the most important players for the Bucs who are aiming at winning the CAF Confederation Cup competition for the first time in the club’s history. Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria will host this year’s final event with Renaissance Sportive de Berkane also aiming at their second trophy in the competition after winning it in 2020.
Ofori on his injury return to the first team of Orlando Pirates has kept five clean sheets in seven matches in the CAF Confederation Cup including one in the semi-final against Al Ahli Tripoli.
Ofori was the hero for the South African side when they eliminated Simba SC in the quarter-final with a crucial penalty save and scoring the winning penalty to send his team through.
