Dutch Under 21 defender of Ghanaian descent Jeremie Frimpong could be possible suspended by DFB after a supposed red card incident against VFL Bochum which happened at the blind side of the referee.
Frimpong deliberately hit Elvis Rexbecaj with his leg and the Dutchman was left fuming at the post-match press conference.
“Honestly, you can’t get a clearer red. He clearly hits me with a straight leg. And the second situation was not controversial, but clear. If Jonathan Tah didn’t make the challenge then we score, we go straight for the goal. For me it’s a penalty.” Rexbecaj stated in relations to Frimpong’s tackle on him
“But we’re VfL Bochum, nobody cares. I had that feeling. Overall, we were clearly the better team. After the early goal only one team was positive and that was us.”
Sportsworldghana.com understands that the DFB will look at the tape from the game and possibly apply the needed sanctions in the coming days against the Leverkrusen youngster.
