President of FC Barcelona is confident his team are capable of beating Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena to qualify for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
Barcelona needs to win the game on December 8th at cost in order to avoid a drop to the Europa League in case Benfica defeats Dynamo Kyiv on the same day.
Should Benfica ( 5 points) win at home and Barca ( 7 points ) draw away at Bayern , it will means the Portuguese side will advance based on their better head to head records against the Spanish side.
“Beating Bayern is something that can be achieved,” Laporta said to AS. “There is going to be a miracle, I am convinced that we are going to win.
“Xavi is very motivated and very strong. I hope everything goes well for us, I think that at the moment Xavi’s arrival has generated a little respect from our opponents. They know we can do it again.” Laporta added.
