Video: Watch Emmanuel Essiam’s first interview after completing FC Basel move

Ghanaian teenager Emmanuel Essiam has spoken for the first time after completing his transfer move from Berekum Chelsea FC.

Essiam joins FCB from Berekum Chelsea FC after excelling in the Ghana Premier League with consistent and great performances for the Bibires.

The Black Satellites player takes on his first challenge abroad in Basel with great development potential following in the footsteps of former Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC player Samuel Inkoom.

FC Basel in Swiss Super League is known for talent development and Essiam is expected to reach his full potential after joining the European side.

The 18-year-old versatile midfielder who can play as a defensive midfielder as well as in the Central Midfielder position has signed a contract with Basel until summer 2026.
