To avoid any contamination of a member of the Moroccan delegation by the Coronavirus and its new Omicron variant, the Royal Morocco Football Federation (FRMF) has called for the departure of all Cameroonian employees from the hotel where the Atlas Lions reside in Yaoundé.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) is not willing to take any chances with the Atlas Lions, led by head coach Vahid Halildozic, who landed in Yaoundé this weekend to take part in the African Nations Cup.
The national football body of the North African country has decided to take the initiative to avoid any contamination of players by the Coronavirus, and its new Omicron variant.
The FRMF has demanded that all Cameroonian employees of the hotel where Moroccans reside be provisionally placed on leave, reports the daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia on Monday January 3.
The FRMF has planned everything as it hire four Moroccan housekeepers to replace the Cameroonian employees of the hotel.
The federation also ensured sterilization of all hotel compartments, and also changed the bedding, replaced by mattresses and blankets also transported from Morocco. The staff in charge of the kitchen has also been brought back from the kingdom, specify our Arabic-speaking colleagues.
On the security side, the FRMF called on six employees of a private Moroccan company to ensure the safety of Moroccan players around the clock. Their objective is to prevent any intruder from entering the residence of the Moroccan delegation. These men will also be used to secure, in coordination with the Cameroonian security forces, the journeys that the Atlas Lions will make to return to their training centers as well as the stadiums that will host their matches.
Recall that four Moroccan players are still missing and have still not returned to Cameroon due to coronavirus, including Youssef En-Nesyri, Badr Benoun and Imrane Louza.
