2022 FIFA World Cup : A colossal sum of money is waiting for the qualified teams

In the event of qualification for the 2022 World Cup, all the national teams that will be in Qatar will pocket a nice jackpot from Fifa, estimated at more than 35 million US Dollars. 

The moment of truth has arrived. From this Friday, March 25, we will be entitled to XXL shocks counting for the qualifying play-offs for the 2022 World Cup.

On the home stretch leading to Qatar, ten countries will compete against each other; with the program of fixtures: Cameroon-Algeria, Mali-Tunisia, DR Congo-Morocco, Ghana-Nigeria and Egypt-Senegal. The return leg being set for March 29.

Beyond the purely sporting aspect, a presence at the most prestigious of FIFA competitions ensures qualified federations a nice bonus.

Indeed, according to the spokesman of the Moroccan Football Federation, Mohamed Makrouf, who is also an adviser to President Fouzi Lekjaa, each Federation qualified for the next World Cup will receive a nice jackpot.

The Moroccan leader to reveal to the local press, the sum of 130 million dirhams (i.e. 35,393,000 million US Dollars) that Fifa will make available to each team having won its ticket for Qatar. This amount will be paid in two tranches.

First, each qualified team will benefit from an advance of nearly two billion CFA to cover the costs of preparation. The second installment will be given in the event of elimination in the first round.

It should be noted that Fifa had approved an increase in the allocations for the “Russia 2018” World Cup, for a total amount of 400 million dollars, or 12% more than the 358 million dollars for the 2014 edition.

This is how France, winner of the 2018 World Cup, won 38 million dollars and Croatia the runners-up, 28 million dollars. Third place: $24 million. Fourth place: $22 million. Quarter-finalists: $16 million. Round of 16: $12 million.
