The Twins, namely Peter Baah Snr (Goalkeeper) and Peter Baah Jr (Striker) are really lighting up the BabyJet U16 Tournament.

The Sunyani Abesim-based brothers have demonstrated their exceptional talents in Cape Coast to the delight of the fans who have been thronging the Cape Coast Sports Stadium since the commencement of the competition.

Baah Snr is a ball-playing type of Goalkeeper who has been under former Red Bull player and current Hearts of Oak keepers trainer which has sped up his development. Baah Snr has played 5 games so far in the baby jet tournament with 3 clean sheets and also helped his team win 2 penalty shootouts in the round of 16 and quarterfinals.

Baah Jr who’s a striker, has played 4 games, scoring one goal and delivering two assists.

They are in the tournament with Liberty youth team Taking Over Stars FC who will be competing in the semifinals. Both were discovered in 2018 by current WAFA head coach Barnabas Awuni who later introduced them to their current manager Mr. Dennis Agyapong Boateng.

According to Coach Barnabas, the incredible twins caught his attention when he first saw them in 2018. ”The first time I saw the kids’ talent I knew with good guidance they will surely make it to the top. Both joined me during my days at Ghana Angel Soccer Academy (U10 level) at Prampram 2018 and I thought of getting an extra hand to support their development which made me introduce them to their current manager who gladly accepted even without seeing them play at the time” Coach Barnabas said.

Speaking to their manager, Agyapong Boateng, he disclosed how he accepted to be part of the twins’ development process and is currently proud of their current development and progress.

”Yes, the coach told me about twins he discovered and I accepted to be part of their growth even without seeing them play. The first time I saw them play was last year at Offinso against Pac Academy and I was so impressed with their game. We currently have four boys under our care Peter Baah Snr (Keeper), Peter Baah Jr (striker), Alexander Ohene Boateng (midfielder) and Clifford (left back)” the manager cobcluded.

Currently, the twins are in JHS 3 preparing for BECE in August 2023.
