Ghanaian midfielder Kwame Poku made a significant impact for Peterborough United as they secured a 2-0 victory over Leicester City in a pre-season match.
At just 21 years old, Poku displayed his skill and composure by opening the scoring for the Posh. In an impressive sequence of play, he received a well-executed pass from Ephron Mason-Clark and Kai Corbett before calmly slotting the ball past the goalkeeper in the third minute of the game.
Leicester City managed to equalize through Ricardo, who skillfully cut inside onto his left foot and unleashed a low shot that beat Peterborough’s goalkeeper, Will Blackmore.
However, it was the visitors who ultimately emerged as the winners, finding the back of the net in the second half to secure the victory.
Both teams made changes to their lineups during the match, fielding different XIs for each half. The game took place at Leicester City’s state-of-the-art training complex, providing an excellent platform for the teams to showcase their skills in preparation for the upcoming season.
