Swiss-Ghanaian defender Gregory Kwesi Wüthrich netted the solitary goal in Sturm Graz’s Austrian Bundesliga clash against Austria Lustenau.

Prior to the match, the head-to-head statistics between the two teams stood at no wins for Austria Lustenau, three wins for Sturm Graz, and no draws.

Taking the field at the Planet Pure Stadion, Gregory Kwesi Wüthrich initiated the game and remained on the pitch for the entire 90 minutes.

Sturm Graz kicked off the match on a promising note, with their initial opportunity arising in the 4th minute. Alexander Prass narrowly missed a chance from a challenging angle. Teixeira aimed for a goal against Austria Lustenau in the sixth minute, but his attempt was resolutely thwarted.

Szymon Wlodarczyk ventured into the penalty area in the 22nd minute, narrowly missing contact with the ball. The Polish striker seemingly scored what could have been the opening goal seven minutes later. However, the goal was disallowed due to a handball incident during the buildup to the attack.

Shortly thereafter, Gregory Wuthrich secured the lead as the Swiss-Ghanaian defender deftly guided the ball into the net following a corner kick in the 33rd minute.

Maintaining a solid defensive performance, Sturm Graz kept a clean sheet for the fourth consecutive Bundesliga match. Their next fixture is against FC Blau-Weiss Linz on Saturday.
